Progress as of 10-2-09

The Country Crossing train is rolling along and picking up the pace. I was at the site everyday this week and was amazed at the day to day difference. I have to say that when I first started this blog it was a little difficult to have different things to talk about all of the time when it was just 2 foundations. Now my job is easy and I am finding that it is hard to get it all out there and do justice to all of the different sub-projects going on at the site.

First and fore most the roads are getting laid. This is great on so many levels. The rain won't have near as much effect on the project because we wont have the mud issues. Last week one of the parking lots got paved. This weekend the main boulevard and the road to the bingo pavilion are getting laid. I also saw that a couple of other parking lots have been prepped and expect to see asphalt down in the next couple of days.

The amphitheater is progressing well. On each of the top corners of the area there are going to be an L shaped building that has the restrooms and the concession area. The one on the left is getting all of the rough in plumbing and will have the slab poured soon. The one on the right has had the footers poured and the block wall in being put in. The terraces are about complete and they have had the sod put on them. The stairs are getting put in down the slope of the amphitheater and they are running the electrical for the step lighting.

I was very pleasantly surprised as I rounded the corner to the Bed & Breakfast to see that they are pouring the slabs for the RV park.

For this post we are going to finish up at the Possum Holler Bed & Breakfast. They are finishing up the siding and getting the stone on the exterior completed. The big news on the interior is that the color is going on the walls in all of the upstairs room. Each of the rooms is a unique color all in very nice earth tones.
